  • Support and resistance zones are divided into 2 levels: Basic and Extreme.
  • These zones are identified based on the current price level, rather than historical price data.
  • Entry and momentum signals are generated through volume analysis using an advanced algorithm.
  • The main plot is used to determine trend direction, establish support/resistance zones, and set trailing stop levels.

What does it offer?

  • Provides reliable trend identification.
  • Establishes support/resistance zones in real-time with current price movement, enabling earlier identification of trading opportunities.
  • Creates 2 support/resistance levels — Basic and Extreme — helping identify areas with stronger buying or selling pressure. This feature allows better trade volume distribution, reducing the risk of focusing trades at one price point and enhancing entry opportunities. The Extreme level helps minimize stop hunts and allows for safer stop-loss placements when the price approaches or breaches key levels.
  • Triggers momentum signals on candles with significant volume. This allows you to assess the strength or weakness of buying and selling pressure, enabling you to implement trailing stops or actively exit trades.
  • Provides highly reliable pullback signals analyzed based on volume, giving you a clearer perspective on price action.
  • Offers an intuitive interface for traders at all levels, providing a smooth, lag-free experience. Unlike typical volume indicators, it assesses and displays volume data only when the price approaches key support and resistance zones.

Signal mechanism

1. Trend identification

The main plot offers visual cues for trend direction. An uptrend starts when the main plot shifts from pink to blue. Conversely, a downtrend initiates when the main plot transitions from blue to pink.

2. 2-level Support/Resistance zone

A support/resistance zone is established when the main plot flattens and concludes when a candle closes outside the zone. Each support/resistance zone comprises two layers: Basic and Extreme. The price typically approaches the Basic zone first, followed by the Extreme zone.

The Extreme zone represents a stronger level of resistance or support and is more challenging to breach than the Basic zone. If the price breaks through the Extreme zone, the support/resistance zone is no longer considered valid. 

3. Pullback signals

Pullback signals are generated based on the principle of "Follow the Trend". When the price retraces to the support/resistance zone, the system analyzes the volume of candles within that zone and identifies the candle with significant volume to generate an entry signal.

  • A Buy signal is suggested when a candle with significant buying volume appears in the Basic or Extreme zone of support, meeting the algorithm's criteria. 
  • A Sell signal is suggested when a candle with significant selling volume appears in the Basic or Extreme zone of resistance, also meeting the algorithm's criteria.

4. Momentum signals

The system generates momentum signals that indicate changes in price momentum based on volume spikes.

  • Positive momentum signals occur when the current candle shows total buy volume exceeding total sell volume, with the total buy volume being the highest among the last N candles.
  • Negative momentum signals arise when the current candle has total sell volume greater than total buy volume, with the total sell volume being the highest among the last N candles.

SpaceGPS Satellite will help you address the important question: "When is a support or resistance zone genuinely broken?"

Using advanced volume analysis in line with the "Follow the Trend" principle, it provides reliable trading signals and alerts. This focus on volume trends supports the effective identification of key entry and exit points, enhancing your overall trading experience.

 
Dedicated NinjaScript signals:
  • Signal_Trend: 1 = uptrend, -1 = downtrend
  • Signal_Pullback: 1 = uptrend pullback, -1 = downtrend pullback, 0 = no signal
  • Signal_Strong_Momentum: 1 = bullish strong momentum, -1 = bearish strong momentum, 0 = no signal
  • Signal_Trade: 2 = uptrend pullback, -2 = downtrend pullback, 1 = uptrend start, -1 = downtrend start, 0 = no signal

    NinZa.Co's MA Howfar Indicator And Its Creative Application In Trading Strategies

    ninZa.co has some really great indicators that with a little bit of creativity you can get some useful information. One tool that isn't talked about much is MA Howfar. This chart has multiple instances of this indicator overlayed in the same subgraph. It has a log scale instead of linear. The time scale is compressed to show all of Friday RTH and Sunday Globex open plus a few hours. It is said that price trends and consolidates as well as cycles. That is essentially what is attempted to show here as well as turning points in the cycles. Like most of ninZa.co's indicators, this one too is BloodHound compatible. I have SharkIndicators and BlackBird so I create signals and strategies using ninZa.co indicators.
