Introducing PVI Pro…
PVI Pro is an upgraded version of PVI Colorized 4U, designed to provide more reliable trend signals with less noise than the traditional one.
The concept comes from Norman Fosback, who observed that over long market cycles, when PVI is above the MA, the market tends to be in an uptrend around 70-75% of the time.
Building on this principle, PVI Pro was developed with advanced smoothing algorithms, making both PVI and MA work better together to spot trends.
How PVI Pro Works?
It measures market trends only when volume increases compared to the previous candles. It stayed unchanged during low-volume periods.
How to use PVI Pro for analyzing trends?
- When PVI is above MA → The market tends to be in an uptrend, indicating increased investor participation.
- When PVI is below MA → The market may enter a downtrend or a period of lower activity.
Note:
- PVI Pro does not react to low-volume periods, meaning it may be less effective in ranging or low-volatility markets.
- To gain a fuller picture, consider pairing PVI Pro vs NVI Pro, which tracks market behavior during decreasing volume.
