Period Sequence Magik is a really special trend indicator that relies on moving averages & number sequences to gauge market cycles (uptrend & downtrend).

This one-of-its-kind indicator calculates its value based on the analysis of up to 50 moving averages of different periods, each of which is the element of a user-selected number sequence. Hence the name "Period Sequence Magik", because the base for this indicator's algorithm is a sequence of MA periods.

As for the MA type, you can select any of the popular moving averages: SMA, EMA, HMA, WMA... Let's say you pick EMA and the "Prime" number sequence; then the moving averages to be analyzed are EMA 2, EMA 3, EMA 5, EMA 7, EMA 11, EMA 13, EMA 17, EMA 19...

This interesting indicator supports so many types of number sequences that you can choose from:

• Step: Assume the initial period is 5 and the step is 3. Then the periods are 5, 8, 11, 14, 17... (increasing in a step of 3).
• Multiplier: Assume the initial period is 3 and the multiplier is 2. Then the periods are 3, 6, 12, 24, 48... (a multiplier of 2 means the later doubles the previous).
• Fibonacci: Assume the initial period is 2. Then the periods are 2, 3, 5, 8, 13...
• Prime: Assume the initial period is 2. Then the periods are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11... (prime numbers).
• LazyCaterer: Assume the initial period is 2. Then the periods are 2, 4, 7, 11, 16...
• MagicSquare: Assume the initial period is 5. Then the periods are 5, 15, 34, 65, 111...
• Square: Assume the initial period is 4. Then the periods are 4, 9, 16, 25, 36...
• Triangular: Assume the initial period is 3. Then the periods are 3, 6, 10, 15, 21...
• Pentagonal: Assume the initial period is 5. Then the periods are 5, 12, 22, 35, 51...
• Hexagonal: Assume the initial period is 6. Then the periods are 6, 15, 28, 45, 66...
