AMA Colorized 4U is AMA (Adaptive Moving Average) - a versatile type of moving average that adjusts its sensitivity based on price volatility over a specific period.

Unlike traditional moving averages like SMA (Simple Moving Average) or EMA (Exponential Moving Average), AMA can adapt to different market conditions in these ways:

  • When the market is highly volatile or shifts direction suddenly, AMA will react faster to keep up with price changes.
  • Conversely, when the market is calmer, it will slow down to avoid noise signals, helping you see trends more clearly and reliably.

Plus, the color-coded plots provide a visual aid: green signals an uptrend, while pink indicates a downtrend.

In short, the indicator enables you to follow trends and take advantage of opportunities more effectively.

I asked Larry Pi if there was a workaround, and he created a new version with all the choices for range unit: points, ticks, pips.
