Market breadth provides insight into the market's overall health and direction by analyzing how many stocks participate in a trend.
We used this mechanism to develop McClellan Trend Pro, an indicator that provides trend signals.Â
Now, weâre launching McClellan Reversal Pro, which also uses this market breadth mechanism - but this time, to detect strong reversal points.
It references a breadth metric: the  Advance (ADV) and Decline (DECL) line.
ADV: This index measures the number of individual stocks advancing in price during a trading session. A rising ADV indicates broad participation in price increases, meaning more stocks are moving up.
DECL: Conversely, this index measures the number of individual stocks declining in price during the same trading session. A rising DECL signifies widespread price declines among many stocks.
How it benefits you
It provides reversal signals more frequently, giving you more trade opportunities.
It helps assess trend strength: When price moves deep into the Threshold: High or Threshold: Low zones, it reflects the strength behind the current trend.
It functions like an oscillator, helping you identify divergences and potential reversals more effectively.
How it works
McClellan Reversal Pro is based on the classic McClellan Oscillator formula:
McClellan Oscillator = EMA(19) - EMA(39)
The moving averages provided in this indicator are smoothed using our proprietary algorithms, making the signals more reliable than the original versions.
McClellan Reversal Pro provides a subpanel for Thresholds where you can monitor price movement:
When the price enters the upper threshold and then exits, it generates a bearish reversal signal.
When the price enters the lower threshold and then exits, it generates a bullish reversal signal.

This is my story, I ordered the Day Range indicator for NIFTY India. To my dismay, it didn't work well as it calculated ranges in ticks. I asked Larry Pi if there was a workaround, and he created a new version with all the choices for range unit: points, ticks, pips. He was with me all through the process, with very short turnaround cycles. So don't hesitate at all to pick what you want! You won't regret.
