Turn trading ideas into validated trading strategies
Oracle Matrix brings professional-grade trading research to retail traders, making it easier to research how Signals perform across different market conditions – without manually testing thousands of possible combinations of market conditions.
Discover promising conditions, validate your findings, and deploy validated trading strategies for automated real-time execution.
A signal doesn't exist in isolation
A trading Signal may tell you when to enter, but it doesn't tell you whether the market is giving that entry a favorable environment.
The same Signal can behave very differently as trend, momentum, volatility, price location, and volume change.
When these conditions overlap, the number of possible market environments grows quickly – often into hundreds or thousands of unique combinations.
That makes manual research impractical. You can test a few scenarios but not systematically measure them all with the consistency needed to separate real edge from coincidence.
Discover where your signal performs best
Oracle Matrix gives you a systematic way to research how your trading Signals perform under different market conditions.
A Context is a combination of a trading Signal and one or more market conditions.
For example, the same Signal can be studied when the market is trending, volatility is expanding, or momentum is strong – and in combinations of these conditions.
Oracle Matrix measures the performance of the same Signal across different Contexts, helping you identify which conditions support the Signal and which work against it.
You can then refine promising Contexts by adding or removing conditions, and test whether their performance remains consistent across different market periods.
Start with what you already have
You don't need to build a strategy from scratch to start researching. You can start with what you already have:
- Built-in Signal & Market Conditions
Use the built-in Signal and 8 Market Conditions to start testing ideas immediately. - Your existing indicators & systems
Add NINZA indicators & trading systems, or 3rd-party NinjaScript Signals into the system then define the conditions you want to use.
Whether you're starting with a simple hypothesis or an existing strategy, you can build Contexts around the logic you already trade – and research what happens when market conditions change.
Analyze Contexts at scale
Here’s how Oracle Matrix systematically analyzes Contexts at scale to identify stronger-performing conditions:
1. Record each Signal alongside its market conditions
Capture historical Signals along with the market conditions present at each occurrence.
2. Build Market State Matrix
Structure historical Signals, market states, and conditions into a Market State Matrix for Context analysis.
3. Simulate historical trade outcomes
Apply the Trade Management Model's four methods to simulate how each historical Signal would have performed.
4. Analyze signal performance across Contexts
Group Signals by shared market conditions and measure how performance varies across different Contexts.
5. Discover and refine trading edge
Identify Contexts where Signals perform best, then add, remove, or combine market conditions to refine the selected Context and repeat the research process.
Separate promising Contexts from proven ones
Once a strong-performing Context is identified, Oracle Matrix puts it through Backtest & Forward Test across different market periods to evaluate the consistency and reliability of its historical performance.
Traders can evaluate the Context from multiple performance perspectives, including:
- Performance Summary – Review key performance metrics at a glance.
- Cumulative PnL Chart – Track how performance develops over the tested period.
- Win Rate & Trade Statistics – Examine trade-level performance and consistency.
- Exit on Session Close – Account for session-based trade exits in the simulation.
- Automatic Broker Commission – Include broker commissions for a more realistic performance assessment.
Turn validated Contexts into trading systems
Once a Context has been validated, Oracle Matrix gives traders 2 pathways to bring validated research into live trading – with human control or full automation.
Semi-Automated Trading
Monitor validated Signals and Contexts in real time and decide when to execute, while retaining control over trade direction, timing, position sizing, and risk.
Fully Automated Trading
Combine validated Signals, Contexts, and Trade Management into a fully automated system that traders can backtest and optimize through NinjaTrader 8 Strategy Analyzer.
Position sizing, risk limits, and capital management can be configured before the strategy is deployed for live execution, with configuration and runtime error detection built in.
Close the gap between research and execution
A trading idea is only the beginning. The real challenge is turning that idea into a strategy that can be tested, refined, validated, and executed consistently in the live market.
Oracle Matrix connects every stage in one workflow – from Context research and performance analysis to Backtest, Forward Test, strategy optimization, and live execution.
Whether you execute with human control or automate the entire strategy, Oracle Matrix helps turn research findings into executable trading systems.
