ninZa.co succeeded in bringing this awesome trading weapon from the MetaTrader world to NinjaTrader 8.

HAMA Monster is a powerful application of Heiken Ashi on moving averages of prices. It paints a new series of bars that are classified into uptrend or downtrend. Signals produced by this indicator are extremely simple yet effective:

When the trend shifts from down to up, you get a possible buy opportunity (go long or exit short).
When the trend shifts from up to down, you get a possible sell opportunity (go short or exit long).

You have full control over how to build HAMA Monster bars with user-defined MA type, period, and smoothing options.

Key features:

Paint a new series of bars to interpret trend phases of the market
Allow defining moving averages (with 11 popular moving averages )
Allow smoothing moving averages
Allow adjusting bar colors and optionally showing/hiding bar wicks
Paint the background to clearly show uptrend vs downtrend
Colorize bars based on 2 phases: uptrend, downtrend
Trigger alerts on trend shift
Print markers on trend shift
