Trend direction. Momentum. Entry timing. All working together.
FLAMINGO combines multiple ninZa.co indicators into one coordinated trading framework, with each tool assigned a specific role in the decision process.
Instead of relying on a single buy or sell signal, FLAMINGO asks three questions:
Both configurations can also be used with Captain Optimus Strong v2 (COS v2).
Choose between two configurations:
STANDARD
A streamlined 3-indicator setup built around Trend → Momentum → Trigger.
FAST SCALPING
The same core framework, expanded with Superior ADX/DMI for additional strength validation and ninZaRenko for fast intraday trading.
Suggested visual: Standard FLAMINGO and Fast-Scalping FLAMINGO charts side by side.
FLAMINGO does not ask one indicator to do everything.
Each component is responsible for a different part of the setup.
01 — Trend Direction
SuperTrend Pro acts as the primary trend filter, establishing the directional bias for the setup.
When the trend state is bullish, the framework can focus on potential Long conditions.
When it is bearish, the framework can focus on potential Short conditions.
02 — Momentum Validation
Direction alone does not tell you whether a move has enough momentum behind it.
Waddah Attar Explosion Pro provides the momentum layer, helping determine whether current market movement supports the directional setup.
03 — Entry Trigger
Once direction and momentum are aligned, Solar Wave provides the trigger component of the framework.
Rather than being treated as a standalone signal, the Solar Wave trigger is evaluated within the context established by the other FLAMINGO components.
That is the foundation shared by both FLAMINGO configurations.
| Standard FLAMINGO | Fast-Scalping FLAMINGO | |
|---|---|---|
| Core approach | Trend + Momentum + Trigger | Trend + Momentum + Trigger + Strength Validation |
| SuperTrend Pro | ✓ | ✓ |
| Waddah Attar Explosion Pro | ✓ | ✓ |
| Solar Wave | ✓ | ✓ |
| Superior ADX/DMI | — | ✓ |
| ninZaRenko | — | ✓ |
| Primary use | Flexible trading workflow | Fast intraday / scalping |
| COS v2 compatible | ✓ | ✓ |
The difference is straightforward:
Standard FLAMINGO keeps the framework lean with three indicators.
Fast-Scalping FLAMINGO adds another layer of strength validation and a Renko-based trading environment.
Standard FLAMINGO combines:
Trend Direction
Establishes the primary directional bias.
Momentum Validation
Checks whether momentum supports the directional condition.
Entry Trigger
Provides the trigger once the broader conditions are aligned.
Put them together and the workflow becomes:
A potential setup is considered when the directional bias, momentum condition, and Solar Wave trigger align.

A bullish trend condition alone does not necessarily mean there is enough momentum to act.
Strong momentum alone does not necessarily mean it is moving in the direction your strategy wants to trade.
And a short-term trigger alone can occur without favorable surrounding conditions.
FLAMINGO combines these separate pieces of information so the setup is evaluated as a whole.
Instead of:
the framework is designed around:
The strategy implementation developed around FLAMINGO also includes an Anti-Fatigue Trade Limiter.
The rule restricts the strategy to a maximum of:
The directional counter resets only when the trend direction defined by SuperTrend Pro flips.
The purpose is to prevent the strategy from repeatedly entering in the same direction as a trend progresses and potentially moves closer to exhaustion.
This rule is part of the tested strategy logic and should not be interpreted as a universal rule for discretionary trading.
Standard FLAMINGO is not presented here as being limited to one specific chart construction.
The supplied development examples show the framework being evaluated across several chart environments.

An intraday example showing the framework through changing bullish and bearish market phases.

The example illustrates why FLAMINGO is built around multiple conditions rather than treating every isolated signal as a complete setup.

The framework is also shown on a 500-Tick chart, providing a different representation of market activity from time-based bars.

Another development example shows the same core framework being evaluated on a Gamma 80 chart.
These examples demonstrate different environments used during FLAMINGO development. They do not imply that every chart type or setting will produce equivalent results.
Standard FLAMINGO brings SuperTrend Pro, Waddah Attar Explosion Pro, and Solar Wave together so that each component answers a different question in the trading process.
The framework is designed around the relationship between these three layers rather than treating any one indicator as a standalone trading signal.
FLAMINGO was also evaluated through NinjaTrader Strategy Analyzer.
One supplied optimization example covers approximately January 1 through September 19, 2026 on NQ and tests multiple Stop/Target combinations.

The optimization results provide additional context around how the framework behaved across the historical test period.
One of the tested parameter combinations produced the following historical result:
| Metric | Result |
|---|---|
| Net Profit | $53,686.32 |
| Gross Profit | $167,502.40 |
| Gross Loss | -$113,816.08 |
| Profit Factor | 1.47 |
| Max Drawdown | -$7,057.60 |
| Total Trades | 393 |
| Win Rate | 66.16% |
These figures describe one parameter combination within the displayed historical optimization, not expected future performance.
A second supplied Strategy Analyzer example shows Standard FLAMINGO evaluated using higher-resolution fill assumptions.

The configuration shown includes:
High fill resolution
1-tick resolution
2 ticks of modeled slippage
Commissions included
These assumptions are important because historical strategy results can change materially when commissions, slippage, and fill behavior are incorporated.
The corresponding historical equity curve can also be viewed by trade sequence:

These are simulated/historical Strategy Analyzer results under the displayed assumptions, not live-account performance.
Fast-Scalping FLAMINGO starts from the same core concept as Standard FLAMINGO:
It then adds two components for its fast intraday configuration:
Additional Strength Validation
Adds another layer of information about directional strength.
Chart Environment
Provides the Renko-based chart environment used for the fast-scalping approach.
The complete bundle becomes:
SuperTrend Pro + Waddah Attar Explosion Pro + Solar Wave + Superior ADX/DMI + ninZaRenko
The easiest way to understand it is:
Standard FLAMINGO

Fast-Scalping FLAMINGO

Superior ADX/DMI does not replace the original FLAMINGO logic.
It adds another validation layer to it.
Fast-Scalping FLAMINGO keeps the same core Trend → Momentum → Trigger structure while adding another layer of strength validation and a Renko-based chart environment.
The additional layers are designed to provide more context for fast intraday conditions without replacing the original FLAMINGO logic.
The supplied development charts show Fast-Scalping FLAMINGO running on MNQ with ninZaRenko.

On the chart, the trader can evaluate the different layers together:
SuperTrend Pro — directional context
Waddah Attar Explosion Pro — momentum
Superior ADX/DMI — additional strength context
Solar Wave — part of the coordinated signal logic

The framework can be observed as price moves through bullish and bearish phases rather than only during a clean one-directional move.

This example provides a wider view of the framework as MNQ moves through trend, transition, and continuation phases.

The highlighted historical trades illustrate how qualifying conditions appeared in these particular chart examples.
They should not be interpreted as representative of every signal or future trading session.
TRADER CONTEXT
A trader-shared example showing FLAMINGO in scalp Renko mode.

Renko charts are synthetic representations of price movement.
That makes historical strategy testing particularly sensitive to assumptions about intrabrick price movement, order fills, slippage, and commissions.
A strategy can therefore appear considerably stronger in a historical Renko test if execution assumptions are too favorable.
For this reason, the FLAMINGOADX development process incorporated additional testing constraints rather than relying solely on the appearance of the historical equity curve.
A custom NinjaTrader 8 strategy named FLAMINGOADX was developed in NinjaScript to evaluate the Fast-Scalping framework quantitatively.
The reported architecture included:
The strategy also incorporated the Anti-Fatigue rule described earlier.
The reported FLAMINGOADX test used:
The intention was to account for execution friction rather than evaluate the strategy using idealized historical fills.
The reported development process also incorporated Walk-Forward Optimization using:
During development, the tests indicated that performance after costs varied across different periods of the trading day.
Time-based filtering was therefore incorporated into the historical development process as an additional strategy constraint.
The purpose was to evaluate the framework under more selective trading conditions rather than assume that every market period should be treated equally.
Over the reported approximately nine-month historical test:
| Metric | Reported Result |
|---|---|
| Net Profit | $22,380.52 |
| Max Drawdown | -$4,730.24 |
| Win Rate | 70.43% |
| Total Trades | 3,223 |
| Commissions | $18,500+ |
| Modeled Slippage | 4 ticks per trade |
These figures come from the reported FLAMINGOADX development case study and are separate from the Standard FLAMINGO Strategy Analyzer screenshots shown earlier.
Historical and simulated performance does not predict future results.
The reported FLAMINGOADX trade set was also subjected to a Monte Carlo analysis consisting of:
No ruin event was observed across the 1,000 reported simulations, and the report states that the 1st-percentile simulated outcome remained profitable.
This does not mean live trading has zero risk of ruin.
Monte Carlo results describe the behavior of the tested historical trade distribution under the assumptions of the simulation. Future market behavior can differ materially.

FLAMINGO Framework
The FLAMINGO framework defines how those pieces are combined.
COS v2
COS v2 provides a way to bring those indicator conditions together within a structured strategy configuration.
This gives traders a framework they can test and refine instead of relying on an unexplained black-box signal.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
A few things to know about how FLAMINGO works, which configuration fits different workflows, and where Captain Optimus Strong v2 fits into the framework.
FLAMINGO is designed as a coordinated framework rather than a collection of standalone signals. Each component has a specific role in the decision process: SuperTrend Pro provides directional context, Waddah Attar Explosion Pro validates momentum, and Solar Wave provides the trigger.
The idea is to evaluate these conditions together as Trend → Momentum → Trigger, rather than treating one indicator as an independent buy or sell signal.
Choose based on the workflow you want to build.
Standard FLAMINGO focuses on the core three-layer framework: trend direction, momentum validation, and entry trigger.
Fast-Scalping FLAMINGO keeps the same core logic and adds Superior ADX/DMI for additional strength validation together with ninZaRenko as the Renko chart environment. It is designed around a faster intraday/scalping workflow.
No. Standard FLAMINGO and Fast-Scalping FLAMINGO can be used as indicator-based frameworks on their own.
Captain Optimus Strong v2 is an optional automation layer for traders who want to bring multiple indicator conditions into a structured, rule-based strategy workflow.
